Description
Potassium Salt of Phosphonic Acid (also known as Potassium Phosphonate or Phosphorous Acid Potassium Salt) is a highly effective systemic fungicide and plant health booster used in modern crop protection. It is absorbed rapidly through foliage and roots, translocated throughout the plant, and acts by both direct fungal inhibition and inducing plant defense responses.
Key Benefits:
- Systemic Action: Moves through the plant’s vascular system to protect new growth from fungal infection.
- Controls Key Pathogens: Effective against oomycetes such as Phytophthora, Pythium, and Downy Mildew.
- Plant Immunity Enhancer: Stimulates production of phytoalexins and other natural defense mechanisms.
- Potassium Enrichment: Provides additional potassium to support plant strength and productivity.
- Safe and Residue-Free: Leaves minimal to no residues and is compatible with sustainable and integrated pest management (IPM).
Applications:
- Crops: Grapes, cucurbits, potatoes, onions, citrus, tobacco, and ornamental plants.
- Diseases Controlled: Downy mildew, root rot, damping-off, collar rot, and other oomycete-caused diseases.
Usage Guidelines::
-
- Foliar Spray:
- 2.0 – 3.0 mL per liter of water (200–300 mL per 100 L).
- Apply preventatively or at the first sign of disease; repeat every 10–15 days if needed.
- Foliar Spray:
-
- Soil Drench/Drip Irrigation:
- 2.5 – 4.0 L per hectare depending on crop and disease severity.
- Compatibility: Compatible with most fungicides and fertilizers; avoid mixing with acidic inputs.
